Stefan has worked in many countries around the world, mostly on international economic development projects. He is a pioneer here in the valley, first renovating two old vintner’s cottages for his personal retreat in nature. To fulfill a childhood dream, his Troubadour winery now produces delicious wines from his own vineyard! Stefan tells exciting stories about viticulture in both theory and practice. He still teaches at various universities, but over the next few years will devote more time to his personal contemplation in the Valley

Elisa is getting enthusiastic about the valley, slowly but surely. Long ago, after two summers working as a dairymaid during her studies and after 12 years living in a farmhouse in Innviertel, Elisa thought she had come to the end of her country life.

Since then, she lived and worked in different cultures as a psychologist, leadership coach and team trainer – at times more than she liked. A renewed desire for simplicity and silence and to return to her passion for creative writing motivated the creation of the Art and Wine Lodge

The Lodge is our joint project. We are proud of what we have done with the old homestead. We sought to create a quiet and secure place in the world and believe that we have succeeded!
