WELCOME TO

The Wine & Art Lodge

We built a beautiful lodge in a phenomenal natural setting that offers unique accommodations for individual guests or small groups to engage in activities, to explore the surrounding area on foot or by bike, or to simply enjoy the silence of our lush green valley.

Wine & Art – Nature and Encounter – Silence and Movement

Every day we are inspired by our Silent Valley, and we want to share it with people who are looking for quiet and simplicity amidst the beauty of nature.
Whether it be alone, or with friends or family, for hiking, or biking, a writing retreat or a team workshop, or for wine tasting, the Wine and Art Lodge is for you!

WINE AND ART

Art at us

The Wine and Art Lodge showcases regional wines, including our own label,
Troubadour, organically grown and pesticide-free -the bees are especially happy
about that! Organized wine tastings, led by our neighbor and wine specialist, provide
delicious tastes of regional varieties.
We think that wine and art go well together and suspect you will too! The Lodge is an old wine’s homestead, lovingly renovated and furnished with an eye to design. Each of the four rooms and the Winegrower’s House is unique and
full of magic and beauty, telling stories with beautiful works of art from around the world, frequently changed to ensure that every visit provides a new and very special
experience. Outdoors, among the vines and trees, wood sculptures (land art) dot the landscape. Perhaps you’ll add to the collection.

Art and Culture

Elisa says of the special times in the valley:
“We are also attracted by the historic towns with creative young people around Jeruzalem. The nearby Ptuj (Pettau) was recently European Capital of Culture. Our small happiness are the hours spent reading, cooking “slow food” and eating delicious food with a good glass of “Troubadour”. We often hear the whistle of the oriole in spring and gather chestnuts for the autumn evening at the oven. In August we walk to the taverna and eat roasted porcini mushrooms. Fragrant highlights are the acacia blossom in May and the grape harvest is tangible in October. We appreciate each and every guest with whom we can share these little wonders.”
